Privacy & Cookie Policy

RailTools is an unofficial, fan-made reference site for Monster Train 2. It is a static website with no user accounts, no sign-up, and no forms — we do not ask you for, or directly collect, personal information such as your name or email. This page explains the limited data that is processed when you visit, mostly by third-party services, and the choices you have.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, device type, and time on page. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes a truncated IP address and usage events on our behalf. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site; we do not use it to identify you. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and a lightweight edge counter may also record aggregate request statistics (such as page hits) for performance and traffic reporting.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, RailTools shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — where permitted — to personalize them based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Third-party vendors, including Google, use these cookies to serve ads based on your visits here. You can review and control ad personalization at Google Ad Settings, and learn more from Google's advertising policies. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, ad and analytics cookies that require consent are only set after you agree via the consent prompt.

Data you keep in your browser

The Deck Builder and Run Tracker save your decks and run logs using your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device — it is never uploaded to us or any server, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser's site data for RailTools removes it.

Third-party services

• Google — Analytics and (when enabled) AdSense. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery; processes request logs.

Fonts are self-hosted, and card and relic images are served as static files from this domain, so viewing them does not send requests to outside servers.

Your choices

• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies (some features may be affected).
• Opt out of ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
• Opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or applicable law changes. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
