Privacy & Cookie Policy

RailTools is an unofficial, fan-made reference site for Monster Train 2. It is a static website with no user accounts or sign-up. Card searches, deck names and run notes are entered through local tools. If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send. This page explains browser storage, shared links, third-party services and your choices.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, device type, and time on page. Google Analytics can set first-party cookies and process browser, device and usage information. Google describes its IP-address handling in its data safeguards documentation. We use traffic reports to improve the site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and a lightweight edge counter may also record aggregate request statistics (such as page hits) for performance and traffic reporting.

Advertising

Google advertising is currently disabled on RailTools.

When advertising is enabled, RailTools shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — where permitted — to personalize them based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Third-party vendors, including Google, use these cookies to serve ads based on your visits here. You can review and control ad personalization at Google Ad Settings, and learn more from Google's advertising policies. The controls linked below and your browser's cookie settings let you manage these services.

Data you keep in your browser

The Deck Builder and Run Tracker save deck collections and run logs in this browser's localStorage; there is no account-based backup or automatic sync. Deck names and run notes are not included in deck share links. Your light or dark theme preference is also saved locally. Clearing this browser's site data for RailTools removes these saved items, and we cannot restore them.

The active deck's clans, card identifiers and quantities are encoded in the page URL. Copying a share link or exporting text exposes that deck list to anyone you share it with. Opening a shared URL sends it to our hosting provider as part of the page request, and it may appear in browser history or request logs. Keep a copy of a deck's share link before clearing site data if you want to reopen that list later.

Third-party services

• Google — Analytics and (when enabled) AdSense. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery; processes request logs.

Fonts are self-hosted, and card and relic images are served as static files from this domain, so viewing them does not send requests to outside servers.

Your choices

• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies (some features may be affected).
• Opt out of ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
• Opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or applicable law changes. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
