Monster Train 2 Tier List
Clans and champions ranked by synthesizing public community rankings — Reddit polls and high-Covenant reports, Steam discussions, and creator tier lists published after the Railforged DLC. This is consensus, not gospel: pairings and player skill move everything a tier.
Clan tier list
Mooncycle control is execution-heavy but among the highest ceilings when piloted well.
Forge and crafted equipment snowball hard; several sources argue it belongs in S.
Unstable stacking and grafted experiments scale brutally, especially paired with aggro clans.
Valor from Shifts is straightforward, fast and reliable from Covenant 0 to 10.
Champion tier list
Valor scaling turns Fel into a one-unit win condition; a fixture at the top of polls.
Orechi Lazarus LeagueUnstable/mix scaling with Test Subjects — poll-topping, though some call it clan-carried.
Rector Flicker Melting RemnantBurnout looping prints value every single turn; the engine Melting Remnant wants.
Bolete the Guillotine UnderlegionAn army in a single card slot — headlines most community rankings.
Reliable Rage/Armor beatstick; strong floors, rarely spectacular.
Lady Gilda PyreborneDeal-making and gold synergies are solid but pairing-dependent.
Lord Fenix PyreborneDragon/egg lines work, yet develop slower than the top engines.
Ekka Luna CovenPotent with dedicated Mooncycle support, situational without it.
Spine Chief WurmkinShard and Hatch scaling that community feedback calls "gods when paired".
Wyldenten AwokenThorny defensive growth; wins slowly when the meta wants speed.
Not enough community data yet
These champions have too few consistent public rankings post-DLC for an honest placement — not a judgement of power:
How this list is made
We synthesize public community signals rather than invent rankings: post-DLC clan rankings (e.g. the February 2026 Pro Game Guides list), Reddit champion polls and Covenant-10/Titans clear reports, Steam discussion threads, and creator tier lists from late 2025 through 2026. Where sources disagree, we note it instead of averaging it away.
- Railforged sits in A here, but several high-Covenant players argue it is outright S once the Forge engine is understood.
- Wurmkin rates B alone yet is described as “gods when paired” with the right ally clan — its pairing ceiling is S-worthy.
- Orechi is polarizing: poll-topping overall, while some insist Lazarus League itself does the carrying.
Balance patches 2.2 and 2.2.1 were mostly bug fixes, so post-2.0 rankings remain representative. We refresh this page when a balance patch or new content shifts the meta.
